Site Foreman/Manager – Office Fitouts, Refurbishment & Construction

Pirotta Services Commercial have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager/Foreperson to join our established and growing commercial fit-out and construction company.

Pirotta Services Commercial specialises in office fitouts, refurbishment and construction for government, universities and tertiaries, Schools and private sectors. We are seeking experienced Site foreman/Managers to manage the day to day operations and detailed fitout and construction works for our awarded projects throughout Melbourne. Our projects range from (Small works) <$50k to Project Site works up to $3m. This can be a project specific, short term or full time position.

Tasks & Duties

This role is responsible for coordinating, executing and ensuring all facets of our projects site operations run smoothly, including:

• Supervision of the building/ fit out works, including other services trades
• Execute the project Program and manage the day to day site activity to achieve the results required in accordance with the project plans
• Schedule and attend weekly onsite meetings for all projects
• Liaise with the subtrades daily on the project requirements
• Take offs and ordering of  building materials for the projects, when required
• Reading and interpreting the drawings and ensuring setouts are correct 
• Raising project queries early as RFI’s to the project PM
• Providing project information to the Projects CA & or PM 
• Managing OHS & Safety plans via online safety and quality portal
• Our Projects are all over Melbourne, your application will be reviewed against our current projects and their locations.

Required Qualifications and/or experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fitout/construction Site managers role
• Tertiary or University qualification in construction management/building (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to read and understand drawings/plans and specifications
• Some knowledge of the NCC (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards
• Trade skills are a preference but all applicants considered
